Call for Papers
The Political Parties in Africa Project (PPA), supported by the Institute for Democracy, Citizenship and Public Policy in Africa (IDCPPA) at the University of Cape Town, invites paper proposals for our 8th Annual Conference on 11 & 12 March 2027. The conference will take place virtually.

We welcome papers on any aspect of political party activity on the continent, and early career researchers and doctoral students from Africa are particularly encouraged to apply. Please circulate this call widely to anyone you think might be interested.
To submit a proposal, please complete the Google Form below with your contact details and an abstract by 23 December 2026. If you are willing to serve as a discussant and/or chair, the form will also allow you to make that indication.
